SEMI-TRAX LEGAL

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 30, 2026
Last Updated: October 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Semi-Trax may collect, use, protect, and retain information when users access Semi-Trax navigation and related services.

Information Semi-Trax May Collect

Depending on how the service is used, Semi-Trax may collect account information, device information, location information, vehicle information, and usage information.

Why Information Is Used

Information may be used to provide navigation, calculate and recalculate routes, locate nearby services, provide traffic information, operate user accounts, process subscriptions, maintain application security, diagnose technical problems, improve application performance, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Location Permissions

Navigation requires access to device location. Users may control location permissions through device settings. Disabling location permissions may prevent navigation and other location-dependent features from functioning.

Background Location

If Semi-Trax uses background location, it will be used only for disclosed and permitted functionality, such as maintaining active navigation when the application is not displayed in the foreground. Users can control background-location permissions through their device.

Selling Personal Information

Semi-Trax does not sell personal information merely because a user uses navigation services. If data practices change, applicable disclosures and legally required choices will be provided.

Service Providers

Semi-Trax may use third-party providers for mapping, navigation, traffic, location services, cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, payments, customer support, fuel information, parking information, and government transportation data. These providers may process information necessary to deliver their services.

Mapping Providers

Semi-Trax may use technology, maps, routing, traffic information, location services, navigation services, or other data supplied by HERE Technologies or other mapping providers. Certain services may also be subject to applicable third-party terms, licenses, notices, and privacy requirements.

Government and 511 Data

Semi-Trax may display information supplied by federal, state, provincial, local, or other transportation agencies, including 511 systems. Government information may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or changed by the originating agency.

ELD Integrations

If Semi-Trax offers integrations with electronic logging device providers, users may choose to connect supported accounts. ELD information depends on the third-party provider and does not replace a driver's or carrier's responsibility for Hours-of-Service and ELD compliance.

Data Retention

Semi-Trax may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain accounts, fulfill legitimate business purposes, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, and comply with legal requirements. Information no longer required may be deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable requirements.

Data Security

Semi-Trax will use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No internet service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

User Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law and jurisdiction, users may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, a copy of certain information, information regarding data practices, or withdrawal of certain permissions.

Account Deletion

Semi-Trax will provide a method for eligible users to request account deletion. Certain records may be retained where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or regulatory reasons.
